Kristina Olson
Kristina is from the Pacific Northwest. As a former Army brat and Army spouse she knows firsthand the affects combat has on our military. Upon learning the high rate of veteran suicide and returning to Central Oregon in 2013 she founded Battle Buddies of Central Oregon to mitigate the symptoms of PTSD through canine companionship and training.

Jake Floyd
Jake has been a Central Oregon resident since 1984. He joined the U.S. Marines after graduating high school in 1994 and retired as a Master Sergeant in September of 2017. Jake went through our program in 2022 with his K9 buddy Mason. He joined our board in Dec of 2022.

Shannon Lucas
Shannon grew up “on base” with both parents working as civilian contractors for the U.S. Navy. As an adult, her career centered around veterinary nursing, with a special interest in pet behavior. She has lived in Central Oregon since 2008, and jumped at the chance to become involved with BBCO, allowing her to combine her love of dogs with her appreciation for the military.
