Kristina returned to Central Oregon in July of 2013, and founded the BBCO. Growing up as the daughter of an Army soldier and a former Army spouse she seen firsthand the affects the Global War on Terrorism was having on our troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Her idea was to give back to those who gave so much and help ease the phycological and physical affects of combat through K9 companionship.

Shannon Lucus
I grew up “on base” with both parents working as civilian contractors for the U.S. Navy. As an adult, her career centered around veterinary nursing, with a special interest in pet behavior. She has lived in Central Oregon since 2008, and jumped at the chance to become involved with BBCO, allowing her to combine her love of dogs with her appreciation for the military.
